Parul Agriculture Building

Agriculture building on the campus of Parul University is designed with the idea of making an institutional building with a very simplistic design not making a student feel overpowered by the building. At any given point in the entire building, the student should have an ample amount of natural light, ventilation & greenery around them. This connectivity would help & nurture the students entering the program.

As an architect, we didn't want to disrupt the campus look & feel already carried out since the beginning, hence we stuck with blending in with the similar colour pallet surrounding it. Also, the elevational facade is designed to accentuate the areas in & around the building. For example, the foyer area extended into the lawn area giving a platform for the pond & the greenhouse giving a feel of open campus acting as a buffer between the road & the building. The building blocks are divided into 4 blocks with a cluster of each department into 3 floors, With the front being the administration & a huge courtyard in the centre acting as a secondary research area with lots of natural light. Apart from the greens, the pond as an essential part of studies also helps with keeping the area cooler.
